THE KARKKU FANCY DRESS COMPETITION!
Traditionally one of the most watched events is here again!
And what's it all about?
In a tough competition the "best dressed" dog & owner team is chosen. You can take part either alone with your dog, or round up a group of friends. In last years we have seen competing for example a dishy Nurse Betty with her patient sitting in a wheelchair, Dancing with the dogs-contestants, a whole gang from the Sherwood forest, and the immemorable very red haired clown dog with her look alike owner... What might you come up with this year ?
The winner(s) will receive, to keep until next year, the coveted "Mister Pin-stripe"-trophy, as well as tons of fame & glory! Prizes for runners-up will also be awarded.
Judging this merciless event will be both our English judges. It remains to be seen, whether this turns out to be the hardest event in the show to preside over. At least if you can't keep a straight face...
As the competition is traditionally a challenge event, (only) last year's competitors have the right to challenge one team each to join in this year's event. It pays to take part... next year you can challenge your friends too. All challenges will be posted in the issue of Springer-magazine preceding the show. Of course, you can take part even without a challenge. This competition is not about winning, it's about a noble fight !
Entry-fee is 5 euros, entry at the event.
The costume competition is traditionally judged just before best-in-show.
There's still plenty of time to start planning a great outfit for you and your dog!
